About Newspaper The Times of Central Asia

This site of The Times of Central Asia was started in 1999. Now it`s independent coverage of news in Central Asia and region of it. The site is an essential resource for international English-speaking people.

Our newspaper defines Central Asia as the five Asian countries: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan

At TCA, our philosophy is that Central Asia is a global region undergoing parallel changes, sharing many common problems, and facing similar challenges. We do, of course, acknowledge the specificity of each country but aim to put those identities in perspective for the sake of a deeper understanding of Central Asia.
